Reduced Libido Question

Afternoon everyone. I'm 45 and was diagnosed 4 years ago. I've been married 23 years and in therapy for the last 5 years. Over the last year my libido has dropped through the floor. I don’t know if libido is the right word tbh, my interest in sex isn't what it was but my ability to achieve or sustain an erection is non existent, on my own or with my wife. I've had blood tests for testosterone and stuff which show no apparent problems so I'm awaiting a further referal. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge to suggest the diagnosis might be relevant? Thanks.

  • From my experience and also with a friend, sertraline can wholly gut sex drive. However medication works different for everyone.

Equally though I know of an autistic 44 year old, always had a relatively high drive, got to 38/39 and it just plateaued and didn't ever return. Should note this was a woman, not a man however.

I do wish I could help as it feels pretty stressful when it happens. Sertraline personally really messed up every form of energy within me, I feel nauseous discussing it to be honest.
