barber fear

Does anyone else on this forum put off going to the barber, rationalizing that it's not really that important anyway and only go when the hair is becomes too long and irritating? I'm Ok when I've actually gone in and sat down but I suppose it's the anticipation that raises my anxiety and to stop that I don't go when I should.

  • There are 'freelance' barbers/hairdressers around who will visit you at home, if that would be less stressful. They often get clients by word of mouth, but looking online might yield someone in your area. Some even specialise in catering for neurodivergent, trans or other 'non-standard' types of people.
