Does anyone else on this forum put off going to the barber, rationalizing that it's not really that important anyway and only go when the hair is becomes too long and irritating? I'm Ok when I've actually gone in and sat down but I suppose it's the anticipation that raises my anxiety and to stop that I don't go when I should.

  • I'm the same, but I'm not really ok when I'm there either, I can't wait for it to be finished. I didn't mind it when I was younger but now I'm older my sensory sensitivities have got worse and many ladies hair salons are too noisy and the cut off bits of hair make me itchy. I'm going to try a barbers tomorrow who said they will cut my hair with clippers - hopefully it will be better.
