barber fear

Does anyone else on this forum put off going to the barber, rationalizing that it's not really that important anyway and only go when the hair is becomes too long and irritating? I'm Ok when I've actually gone in and sat down but I suppose it's the anticipation that raises my anxiety and to stop that I don't go when I should.

  • No but I haven't been to a dentist in years due To fear ... I always panic. During procedures too I wish there was an NHS dentist that was autistic specialist

    I can understand that, Thpsguy. That's one thing I do make sure not to miss though - dental check-ups, because if you keep missing them, they take you off their books and then you'd have to scratch around for another one in the area. But you're right, there aren't many NHS dentists about and I think this is due to the last government making it unprofitable for them to operate. I'm hoping this current government might improve the situation, but don't hold your breath!
