ADHD assessment felt completely different to my autism one.

I had my Assessment A with medinet minds this morning. Weird. Felt like I was talking about bits and pieces but not in as much depth as my autism assessment with the same company. The guy did say I would feel like I have more to say. This was over in about 75 minutes whereas the first autism assessment was 3 hours. I'm not sure enough was discussed, nothing about strategies already tried etc, or how my autism mixes in, though there's a second appointment to come. He also told me it isn't an exam, but it sure feels like one, with the associated anxiety pre and post appointment.

  • Huh, interesting. I mean, I think things are done differently over here in America (ex. on Autism assessments, we don’t have to have a witness for a testimony on our childhood. That sounds ridiculous to me).

    I don’t remember the ADD test I took when I was like 8-10ish years old, but I think it was just a questionnaire and my mom was asked questions? Idk. When I was 30, the ADHD test was packaged into my Autism test just to confirm that diagnosis, so I’m not sure what parts of my assessment was particularly for the ADHD and what was for the Autism. There was a lot of questionnaires, though. I also had an IQ test packaged in. It was a long morning. Like 4 hours-ish?
