Research background
We want to understand how autistic burnout develops, how it is experienced throughout life, and what helps or makes it worse. This study is run by Jessica Farrell (a neurodivergent Trainee Psychologist) and Dr Andrea Pickering (Clinical Psychologist and Research Tutor). Both of us are passionate about using research to advocate for changes that improve life for autistic people. We have also been supported by autistic experts by experience through all stages of project development.
