What is the purpose of this forum?

Is it a place for 'free speech' irrespective of the feelings of others (as I read recently)?

Is this a place to vent, support, discuss (about any subjects in life).

Should subjects be primarily about autism as I have read here recently?

Is it's purpose mainly social as I have also read here recently?

I would actually like to know if there is anything written by NAS about this.

  • I do think people should able to talk about things that matter to them, but I also think people should be able to say when something upsets them or they don’t think something is appropriate.

I actually felt bullied for having a different opinion. It made me feel like being different isn’t acceptable here either, which is really sad because I thought this placewould be different from the outside world.

I’m not saying people can’t disagree with me. I just think we should be able to have different opinions without it turning in an argument.

I'm sorry for that. Do you feel safe to say what the context was e.g. was it about an autism-related subject or a social news one?
