What do you think are the positive characteristics of being an autistic person?

I quite often feel negative about my autism, and that I would have had a very different (better?) life if I had been allistic.

So, in a way this is a cheer yourself up thread.

    Authenticity, no matter the situation (mimicking what others said about the lack of care for 'social expectation')

    I am extremely reliable, and if I say I'm going to do something, I do it (the opposite is true, too!!)

    Standing up for the right thing, doggedly, regardless of whose toes may get trodden on

    Brutal honesty, again, ignorant of socially expected responses

    An attention to detail that has benefitted me in the workplace, noticing things that others have not
