AuDHD and Xaggitin

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on Xaggitin and AuDHD. I was originally diagnosed with ADHD but I scored very high on the autistic tests too so I was referred for further assessment for AuDHD.

The doctor prescribed Xaggitin as he said it was very effective for the treatment of ADHD but I don't know how effective it is if you are AuDHD.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

  • I don't have any experience with xaggitin itself but what I do know for some AuDHD people is that when medication suppresses ADHD symptoms, autism ones can become more pronounced. Don't know whether this is the case for everybody though. It's probably worth just giving it a try. If it's not for you then it's not for you.

  • Thanks, that is pretty much what I was wondering was the case with other people. I find it kind of separates both sides. I have been taking it for a couple of months and I can now separate out the parts of me affected by ADHD and the parts affected by autism. The doctor spoke of ADHD suffers finding that the medication was life changing whereas I find it useful as a short term tool but certainly not life changing.
