Overstimulation

Hey! I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I just wanted to know what your personal overstimulation looks like. I'm not entirely sure if I actually do get overstimulated or not. It can be hard to tell sometimes. For example, last night I was out drinking with my partner and suddenly I felt really sick and everything was too much (the only way to describe it). I went outside, and instantly felt okay again. I'm not sure if that could be linked or if that's just me having an upset stomach.

What is it like for you?

  • I can get easily overstimulated when I begin a new interest and get very impatient to learn the new material and end up becoming very frustrated because I can't pick it up in five minutes, which is pretty silly. Sometimes it makes me very dissolutioned and off-putting until I calm down, take a rest and come back to it

But yes, I know what you mean about being over-stimulated at a. social gathering. In fact, overwhelmed might be a better descrition in my case as tend to see people as a threat to be dealt with, rather than as having a pleasant social interaction with.
