Creativity thread

Finished this a couple of weeks ago (still didn‘t seal it yet though). It‘s acrylics and also my favourite animal, the African Savannah Elephant. I‘m not entirely happy but I haven’t painted on such a large canvas before, so that was an interesting experience.

Love the colours...and the painting, only thing that niggles me a bit is the shade at the bottom of the tree. I'm not a painter, but since it is at the very front, for me it asks for the same detail as the top part of it......Then again, it could be just me xx

I don‘t particularly like the tree in general and experimented with different colours and shades. But by the time I realised there was no saving it, it was too late to paint over it without having to redo a whole section. My main goal was to somewhat finish the painting since I struggle with filling so much empty space. 

I‘m gonna try that next time I‘m stuck on a project. 

I'm very familiar with that feeling, especially when doing larger pieces, when it becomes overwhelming, and you just feel lost. I've learned to do "step away and leave it for a while" method. So I might have some unfinished projects sitting around for a while(some for a couple of years), and then it comes to that moment where you just know what is missing.
