Who are the researchers?
My name is Evie Rose. I am an autistic Trainee Clinical Psychologist at Royal Holloway University of London. Dr Anna Crabtree supervises my project.
What is the research about?
I am interested in hearing from couples about how a later-life autism diagnosis impacts their relationship.
Who am I looking for?
- Couples who agree to be interviewed together
- At least one person in the relationship has a formal diagnosis of autism
- The person was diagnosed with autism at the age of 50 or older
- The relationship began before receiving the diagnosis
What does taking part involve?
- Completing a 5-minute demographic questionnaire
- Completing a 1-hour 30-minute interview either online or in-person. In-person interviews will take place at a Royal Holloway University site.
How will I be reimbursed?
All participants who take part in the study will be reimbursed with a £20 Amazon voucher (£40 per couple) as a thank you for your time. If you choose to take part in an in-person interview, your travel expenses will be reimbursed.
