As the Nature thread is rather slow to load now as it's a bit cumbersome, and as threads are locked after 6 months, I thought I'd start a thread for the wonderful 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' rather early, as it's not the 1st September yet.

I don't think I've ever been so glad to get one season kicked out the door and see another arrive.

Please share anything autumnal.

I will upload a photo or two when I find them.

  • There are some beautiful sunsets at the moment. Last night there was a mackerel sky at the same time and the red leaves in our hedge looked like they were glowing in the light. A squirrel looked annoyed about something, possibly the dog next door barking on and on. It kept jumping down from a branch of the tree flicking its tail, running across the garden and back up the tree. The squirrels do make me laugh.
