As the Nature thread is rather slow to load now as it's a bit cumbersome, and as threads are locked after 6 months, I thought I'd start a thread for the wonderful 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' rather early, as it's not the 1st September yet.
I don't think I've ever been so glad to get one season kicked out the door and see another arrive.

Unseen fish darting through breaking waves
Lost echoes of an unborn child’s laughter
Forgotten dreams lost among empty rooms.
The unfelt touches of friends or lovers.
Shadowy creatures in worlds never seen.
Time that melted away unnoticed
All the things that might have been.
