As the Nature thread is rather slow to load now as it's a bit cumbersome, and as threads are locked after 6 months, I thought I'd start a thread for the wonderful 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' rather early, as it's not the 1st September yet.

I don't think I've ever been so glad to get one season kicked out the door and see another arrive.

Please share anything autumnal.

I will upload a photo or two when I find them.

    I have some photos actually and thinking about it, I could put one or two on this thread.

    We have red squirrels fairly local (on the Isle of Wight) but in all the years I've been going there, I've only seen one, but that's probably because most of my time has been spent in seaside resorts.

    It's great that you get them.
