As the Nature thread is rather slow to load now as it's a bit cumbersome, and as threads are locked after 6 months, I thought I'd start a thread for the wonderful 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' rather early, as it's not the 1st September yet.

I don't think I've ever been so glad to get one season kicked out the door and see another arrive.

Please share anything autumnal.

I will upload a photo or two when I find them.

  • We were reminded today that Tuesday is the start of meteorological autumn. It does feel like autumn has arrived. The weather has resulted in many of my annuals getting towards the end, whereas some years they have kept going for another month. What is also interesting though is that some have leaves have turned brown whilst flowers have continued and the bees are still enjoying them.
