Any suggestions please?

Hi all,

My son 11 appears to be settling well in secondary despite major disruption in the beginning and a fab teacher. His appears to have made some very close friendships which I'm really proud of him because it makes him happy. Here's the problem. When someone is mean to his friend or his friend says his upset it makes my son anxious. Don't get me wrong I'm so proud of how much of a good friend my son is and how much he cares but I'm worried that his beautiful sensitivity is causing him significant distress and anxiety. I offer my son logical suggestions to helping if he feels someone he cares about is unhappy but he seems overwhelmed with emotion that he can't process these suggestions. Just wondered if anyone had experienced this and/or had any suggestions?

Thank-you x
