I’ve been following the series over the last 40 years or so, a group of 14 people are interviewed every seven years from the age of seven in 1963, this two parter will be the last as they have now reached seventy. It started as a nature or nurture experiment as they are all from different backgrounds, some from very privileged backgrounds and some very working class.

Sadly two have passed away plus the original interviewer. I believe it’s scheduled for the Autumn.

  • I'm binge-watching on ITVX replay, it's such an interesting concept. I was brought up 'working class' and after my 'education' felt I was straddling two worlds but fitting in neither, so it was interesting to see how they changed over the years. I feel better about myself after watching this. We are all not so different after all.

    I'm working class and I'm glad because it helped me realise just because things cost more doesn't always mean they're better(yes in terms of produce this can be true more money means harder to source foods) but also I don't lock my. Self into working class constructs of going the pub for my ebyetaibtmebt sure sometimes it's fun but give me a theatre show any day and when I grew up the theatre was still (outside of musicals) considwred middle class
