I normally walk to the dentist as the buses aren't frequent and the capped fare is £3 for a 6 minute journey.
Started walking up at 8am for 9am appointment, which takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
I was having a 45 minute appointment to restore my wisdom tooth, which was very worn down and was absolutely amazing. At the end it taken 10 attempts to realign my bite (my right side was higher than the left side); the dentist said if breaks again within a year, do the filling again for free and another failed one we will go back to the drawing board.
The dental nurse and dentist said I was doing really well and explained to me any noise. Also reminded me to breath through my nose. Worst was I felt my throat getting tight.
The dentist said any problems or feel odd to eat by Friday, please give us a phone call. Very kind of the person.
The numbness worn off after 4-5 hours. Wisdom teeth got large nerves.
Felt tired and headache.
My next appointment is straight forward check up in February.
Was going to book it in November or December. Id told the receptionist that I usually get unwell during these months. Was I being honest?

It's good to be realistic about the appointment, if it comes and you are unwell, it can be hard to book again for months, so getting it on the other side of winter is very forward thinking. You can't predict these things, but you can prepare as best you can!
