PIP Assessment

So I had my PIP assessment... Well all I can say is that it was confusing. One second she was nice then the comments she made surprised me but I wasn't able to process the interaction until later when I spoke to my friend. I had comments of "this is not a therapy session" which she said many times, "we're all on the spectrum really, none of us are normal". I then cried and she offered me a tissue and when she said let me know when you're ready to carry on just say. I was wiping my tears away and before I said I'm ready she proceeded with the questions...

My friend says to report it because of the way she spoke to me. Just looking for more advice.

Thank you :)

  • Im guessing the therapy comments where Mabie due to you over explaining answers BUT that's part of autisim. For a lot of us so she was disrespectful

I would definitely complain and also be prepared to ask for a mandatory reconsideration and following that possibly an apeal

The pip assors are the rudest dwp staff in my opinion

Always complain about mistreatment and if you're complaint isn't resolved look to take it higher

I once had to do so after I had a mandatory work search task to apply for a job trouble was the position had already closed so my advisor stopped my money as I had apparently refused to apply after going through the dwp process to no luck I got my money back paid after seeking help from my local mp

If your unsure of the process to take I recommend going to the citizens Advice.
