reccomendations for female newly diagnosed

Oh sorry, maybe it would be better if the whole post was removed then as that is what’s being asked. I didn’t think I was giving medical or legal advice (I am a nurse and know not to give advice on things that are medical unless for an actual patient of mine). 

I agree that giving a recommendation for a counsellor isn't giving medical advice. It's just a recommendation which the OP can look into themselves. 

I want to see the counsellor recommended!

I don't see how you saying who is your therapist, is any different to the mods telling people to look in the NAS directory which is things like private therapists. I believe it was wrongly removed, else it's hypocritical.

I just feel it would be better if the moderators locked the chat because this is the question the OP is asking. I agree with your points though. 

It's tough, isn't it? I fell foul of Rule 6 in an area I used to be an expert in. After thought, I can see two good  reasons for strict enforcement of this rule:
(1) the mods aren't experts and can't necessarily tell the difference between good and bad advice, and (more importantly)
(2) it could open the NAS to being sued, if something goes wrong.

Of course, with counselling, it's always difficult because it's such a subjective thing whether someone gets on with a particular counsellor that it could work well for one person and not for another.
