Panics over lost items

I went to pick up my guitar and the capo wasn’t where it usually is so my body/brain went into full panic mode. I wasn’t going to be able to sleep until I found it. But thankfully I managed to find it so, my body came out of panic mode. I legit felt myself relax the second my eyes caught it. Is this a normal thing for autism?? Or is it something else? It’s a normal thing for me. If I lose something my brain just starts going haywire and I can’t control it. It’s like nothing can be done until it’s found ya know?

  • I don't anymore or sometimes it happens but I have my own ways to cope with my own meltdown. It was my hard work, to stop having these reactions. They were terrible,  my mom used to lock me in my room until I was quiet. Quite often I was so exhausted and dizzy, that I went straight to sleep. Now it's not that bad, but before I used to punch my own head, bang my head off of a closet, scream, swear, tear and throw things around. My family still making fun of me. It hurts and I don't know what could possibly be funny in someone's disregulated reaction.
