Hopelessly unemployed

So quick intro I finished my job of 4 years due to moving from my are due to an uninhabitable proprty and an abusive neighbour who actually split me and my partner up and pre move we had to still had to live together I got with someone else and long story short on that one kr and the ex are looking to patch things up but due to her smaller property we are living sepeately 

Anyway I digress 4 months later still no job and truth be told I only got that job after 10 years of trying because I knew people in the area and knew the manager but it was retail which was hell (I find all work difficult due to my ADHD I find I do ly hobbies less when I'm working but you know we all need money) 

I've looked on job sites(same jobs months later) no where seems tobe taking on I asked on face book and only got abuse for admitting there's. Certain jon types I can't do 

Where do I go from here? £300 a month after rent isn't enough to live off

  • Just depends on your priority having more money and being less restrictive on the work you are  willing to do or you just prefer to do your hobbies and accept that you have £300 a month ?

    I look forward to reducing hours or retiring , but the Gov is moving the pension further out - although I'm now less than 10 years off (untl they shoft the goalposts again) - at that point I will look finally have time for some hobbied

    it might be ok if you have hobbies that take a couple of hours a week or 1-2 hours a a few times a week.  But work takes it toll and finding energy after work , even at weekends is difficult I expect for most of NDs in work.

    If you find a job that maybe related to your hobbies or interest then - that may be something to look at.  Also have you considered self-employment - which would be more flexible.  But I was self-meployed for 8 years and I can tell you - it can take more time than a job - with less benefits !

    have you reached out to any employment support locally - either job clubs ? your local council should be able to sign-post you 

    Maybe even some regular volunteering may even help as a stepping stone back to employement

    Im waiting for a form on volenteering and also waiting to hear back on a learning course Raised hand

    The jobs I'd be able to do with in my hobbies would still boil down to retail and retail wasn't for me for those 4 long years I did it 

    My hobbies don't take much money per month if I limit it to doing one task per month I. E I can get models to build for £10 I can get games or dvds in that budget too 

    But I can't travel to even Wales on that and  days out and travel can really clear the mind but at the moment I just have to accept a day trip to Wales or a holiday is out of the question
