Confession Of The Day

I stole this from another thread.

Is there anything you feel rather ashamed of having done or not done etc?

Mine is:

I have started but not finished The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go and Klara and the Sun (Kazuo Ishiguro books).

and many other 'worthy' novels.

Anguished

I do have greater sins I might share at a later date.

  • I kicked and winded the pug in the hardware shop as it as ever had run towards us snuffling grotesquely and slobbered around our feet. A detestable little object, it scuttled back behind the counter after impact, we hurriedly left.

  • Sorry to say, I agree. Pugs are ghastly creatures, though normally I love dogs. Actully, there are some neighbours I'd like to kick in the pants - instead, I give them appropriate names: 'Windy' [fake coughing during Covid and always loudly belching by my kitchen vent], 'Hysteria' [his nervy wife, always imagining I am ridiculing her - hence his 'revenge' behaviour], and 'Motor Mouth' [my noisy neighbour - The Housing Association put up a 6' fence after she attacked me. I was deliriously happy to contribute to the cost!].
