Confession Of The Day

When I was in my first school placement as a student teacher, my mentor and Head of Department reviewed my work at the end of each week. A few weeks in he stated, “We’re a good team”. I was so shocked at his comment I responded, “Really?” The critical frown on my mentor’s face told me I had made a fatal error. I was mortified and still am.

I wonder whether our tendency to feel these experiences so deeply and recall them so vividly is an autistic trait. 

I didn’t think it was, but now I think it might be. I’m increasingly hearing of other people’s experiences of similar.

I was often accused of being over sensitive which perhaps ties in.

I have worse horrors than that but I’m not ready to share here.
