Confession Of The Day

I looked into the mirror and got impression, that I look like Sir Isaac Newton, my hair (goes naturally like the wigs that men wore in those times) and something in my facial features. It's only about appearance, I'm far from being the genius he was. And I'm female. I'm not sure if it's positive, for a female to appear somehow similar to Newton, it feels strange to me. Just confessing here.

I had some deeper thoughts about universe today. Sat alone after dinner and my mind flew out to the vastness of space. And I was wondering about various theories about it. So there is the Dyson Spheres theory, that stars suddenly vanish without supernova. There is the cosmological constant, universe, the space expands and this expansion is accelerating. But the speed of light is constant. So if the speed of light is slower, than the speed of expansion of space, then there is a point, where the object emiting light is too far for its light to reach us. Whether the object was a star or other object emitting light, like galaxy, dwarf galaxy, quasar etc is a different topic. So I think, that this may be an explanation for sudden disappearances of some objects in the sky without supernova,  rather than alien civilisation harvesting the star's energy and exhausting it to zero.

Another topic that I was thinking, maybe it's stupid (I'm not Newton after all) - I red, that 2/3 galaxies in our observable universe spin clockwise, and one third- counter clockwise. Best explanation from astronomers is here the dark energy, but as nobody really knows what it is and how it works, it's a hypothetical matter, it all stays magic. There is also the theory,  that we are living in a huge black hole being hosted by other- bigger universe. An argument against it is that the black hole should have a point of infinite gravity, and not be same everywhere,  like our observable universe. Observable! We have no idea what is beyond that. So if our universe is located in a black hole and the galaxies strangely spin 1/3 to 2/3 in both directions,  maybe it's possible that maybe it's a merger of two black holes, which influence the directions of the matter spinning. Sorry for these long and probably stupid confessions

I'm not an astronomer, so there is a lot, that I don't know. But there is also a huge lot, that they don't know. Neil Tyson DeGrasse wrote in his book, that astronomers must always be humble, because of the vastness of what they don't know yet about the universe. I almost finished his book, the second I got. But recently I'm so terribly exhausted that I had no capacity for any new information. Now it's my holidays, maybe I get a proper rest to be able to function.
