Looking for friendship

Hi everyone

I was inspired by another recent post and thought I’d be brave and write one of my own.

I’m a 55-year-old woman from Sheffield and I’d love to make a genuine friendship with someone who enjoys regular chats, either online or, if you’re local, perhaps meeting for a coffee or a walk in the future.

I enjoy running, walking in nature, bike riding, travelling, books, podcasts, music, art and drawing, cooking, good food, animals and Scandinavian crime dramas. I also enjoy talking about life, philosophy and the different ways people see the world.

Life can feel a little lonely at times, and I thought it would be nice to get to know someone who enjoys sharing the ordinary things as well as the bigger conversations.

I’m not looking for a huge social circle…just one or two kind, genuine people who enjoy meaningful conversation and understand that friendships can take time to grow.

It doesn’t matter where you live if you’re happy to chat online. For me, it’s more about the person and the connection than labels.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. Even if we just exchange the occasional message to begin with, that would be lovely.Seedling

  • Knitting and crochet as well are my favourite things to do. I can get totally absorbed in what I’m doing and everything else fades away. I love choosing the colours that go together and deciding which pattern to use. I could talk about this for hours! And the Peak District really is one of my favourite places, again it’s because I can lose myself there in my thoughts. I love the open scenery and the often wet and gloomy sky.
