An interesting article states that the PIP process is dehumanising, I’m sure many who have been through the process would agree.

My view is that by making it not fit for purpose will give the excuse to abandon it. This will then be viewed as ‘helping’ disabled people. A new less costly alternative will be devised that will focus more on physical disability. It is a ‘hot potato’ for the incoming PM.
Well thats the thing when you rightly give mental health the same status as physical health, you have to do something. Having tried for PIP for both physical and mental health reasons and failed I can honestly say that I don't think the system is fit for purpose, in my case because it can't cope with the idea of multiple disabilities ganging up on me. PIP like many things that are supposed to "help" seem to think that if you can walk a few yards, wipe your own bum, nuke a ready meal and can put loose clothing on you're alright and don't need any help. Thats a very low bar and one I've come across several times across the NHS and government services

I personally think they are taking aim at what they see as a high proportion of newer claimants being school leavers and early 20,s. They still believe that too many people are just becoming autistic, depressed and anxious. They have no idea.
