Autistic Burnout

Hi everyone,

I’m currently navigating a period of autistic burnout, and I’m finding it difficult to find resources or advice that I find helpful for what I’m going through. I was hoping some of you might be willing to share what has worked for you in terms of recovery and managing daily life during this time.

To give a bit of context, I’ve had a lot of significant life changes recently, including navigating a breakup after five and a half years, transitioning to living on my own, and managing the legal and financial logistics of a house buyout. On top of that, I work full time in a physical job.

I think the accumulation of all these big life shifts, alongside the daily demands of work and home maintenance, has really led me to a point of exhaustion. I’m finding it hard to balance everything, and I’m struggling to find the energy to recover.

If anyone has advice on how they’ve managed to slow down, what kind of low-demand strategies have helped, or even just how to be kinder to yourself during a burnout phase, I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Thank you in advance! :) <3
