I had a phone call with an OT regarding a housing assessment where they said that I may want to contact some housing associations to see if they have an OT themselves for assessing vulnerable tenants and if they would take a private report from the OT I spoke to (to save me paying for another report should they have one). My last resort is private rental as I have a strong feeling any social housing or supported living will not be set right for me; I already still live with family and my house gets busy enough to the point it affects my executive function, frustrates me and feels overcrowded (which is why I am having this OT assessment to begin with).
My social worker has been keen to support me and refer me to the relevant services, but because I communicated my concerns, any referrals will not be going ahead.
I have emailed Riverside and Clarion Housing; Riverside has just sent me links that make no sense and do not give me the information I'm looking for and still awaiting a response from Clarion. My carer has suggested another association as the company has set up a partnership.
I welcome any suggestions of who to contact (I take it not many housing associations have OTs).
