Feeling younger than everyone else

I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way, but I feel as though I am the youngest one there even though I'm one of the oldest?

I was in a work meeting the other day and just felt like I was a junior worker who was there on the first day even though I'm one of the more experienced workers. I can't quite explain what I mean but I just feel a lot younger than I am in certain professional situations.

  • It's very common. I honestly think we subconsciously display youthful mannerisms as well as having youthful faces, I've been infantilized a lot over the past year or so, to the point I've grown my facial hair out (it's helped less strangers approach me anyway). My ex is autistic and 40 and she gets ID'd still.

Also can be a mixture of low self confidence (feeling less experienced) and staying indoors (lots of us like that) does wonders for aging (my autistic friend says that anyway, who also gets mistaken for a little boy)

  • You know, that also reminds me how my sister still looks like a 12-13 year old lol.

I've also been told I have a slight build for an adult
