I have never had any interest in romantic relationships but I do find myself feeling touch starved (recently mentioned by psychologist before that I didn’t know what it was). Does anyone identify like this who can help me with any solutions?

Yes, it was a light bulb moment for me. I had decided I might be gay but that doesn’t fit either! I do feel attracted to people, male and female, but just want to hold hands, I have no interest and can’t tolerate more without feeling very stressed and anxious. In the past this has caused alot of few problems and some confusion. Asexuality and LGBTQ etc is higher in Autistic people, so it figures.
I have never had any interest in relationships I’ve never been in any sort of relationship. But I o ly came across the word asexual relatively recently I also thought there was something wrong with me. It was a relief to come across the term
Can I ask if you have always known you were asexual? I have only realised this the last couple of years. I have spent a long time wondering why I find physical parts of relationships so difficult and not understanding why anyone gets pleasure from it. I thought there was something wrong with me!
That’s exactly it. I don’t like a massage I don’t like them touching my skin. But I do like a clothed hug or also osteopath can be like a massage I like it cos you are clothed
I don’t like my skin being touched by another persons skin but I do like a clothed hug or a cuddle with animals.
I had same problem until I found https://pulseofpotential.com/ who sell weighted animals that feel like a hug. I would prefer a cat, but not allowed in my first floor flat and I can't live below someone else tried it and the noise is horrendous. So after one Sunday afternoon research, this seemed like a good solution. EAlso helpful in winter to keep warm and snuggled, not sure if its going to help in heatwave, but I will try.
As well as below how about a cuddly toy you can cuddle?
Pets are very good to cuddle!
I was about to suggest that too. I've never heard of this before, but do you want to be touched? It's great that your psychologist is helping you, but many autistic people find touch problematic and if you're someone who does then a massage will be a nightmare
