Respect

I think it's somewhat lacking these days.

I see a lack of it everywhere:

The way people relate to one another

The way people drive

The rubbish thrown away in public spaces

The trashing of our natural environment

The shouty politics

Cruelty to wildlife

What do you think?

I personally think the world would be a much better place if respect for everyone and everything, however different to us, and different their views (if human) were taught to children so that they could grow up to be respectful people.

Parents
  • I've dealt with my share of lacking respect.  Someone threw garbage at the bottom of my door and coffee onto my door ornament.  Incidents were happening since April.  The coffee that was splashed onto my ornament was the last straw and I reported everything to the landlord.  I was told to pou a note on my door saying to leave the door alone and that I've made reports to the office and I will continue to do so.

    Sorry to hear that.

    People can be horrid.

I used to get that when I lived in a flat in the centre of the city.

After pub closing time was the worst and I won't say what used to happen then, but it wasn't pleasant.

I hope that this problem stops.
