First Post

Hello everyone - I am nearly 50 and diagnosed in 2021. This is my very first post on NAS.

One of the things I have found really frustrating and stressful throughout my life is using websites, completing forms online, understanding online information or dealing with services online. What are other people's experiences? Is there anything that regularly causes destress, confusion or overwhelm?

I hope you won't mind my asking - thank you.

  • Hello.

Forms and questionaires in general are difficult, even the autism questionnaires.

The wording always seems ambiguous, or says something it doesn't mean, or is just unclear. They make implicit assumptions which are sometimes obvious and sometimes less so.

To struggle with them is not unusual.

And when they are really needed for something, and you have put them off and are under time pressure, they gain an extra level of confusion.
