Got my diagnosis

I had my Assessment appointment yesterday, I was diagnosed with Autism.

I am still trying to figure out what that means for me, I have for a long believed I was autistic, but hearing it from an NHS professional made it feel different.

Today has felt a bit weird in that nothing has changed but my head is telling me there is a change, if that makes any sense!

  • Hello. Being told is strange. It feels different to how you expect it will feel. It takes time to sink in fully.

You feel everything has changed, yet you look around, you are wearing the same clothes, in the same house, eating the same food, you still look the same and you have the same bills and life. It is this disconnect of having the same life but feeling that something is different that is unsettling.
