Advisory group members wanted: Experiences of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Note: This account only posts external research that has been approved by the NAS research team.

Background

Researchers at the University of Bristol are planning a study about Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and adult social care. We want to understand what PIP makes possible in autistic people's everyday lives, including how it may support independence, wellbeing, daily routines, relationships and the need for support.

Who are can take part?

Before we apply for funding, we would like to speak with autistic people who receive, or have received PIP. We want your views on what the study should focus on, what methods would work best and how to make the research accessible and relevant to autistic people. Approximately 5 people are needed.

What does taking part involve?

Taking part would involve one informal conversation with a researcher, either online through Microsoft Teams or Zoom, or by telephone.

Reimbursement

You will receive a £40 Love2Shop voucher as a thank you for your time.
