Autism Diagnosis Appointment

After nearly 4 years of being on the NHS waiting list for an Autism Diagnosis I have been given a cancellation appointment for a day in a couple of weeks time.

Is it normal to feel like an imposter?

I am questioning if I am, despite all the clear signs and the tests I have done in the past!

  • Yes, very much so! When I was coming up to mine, it helped to look over the notes/test I did to remember why I was doing it (I decided to make some notes as I get easily flustered and forget everything when talking to people). Just remind yourself you are doing it for a reason, and it'll be good to talk about everything no matter what.

Just try to do things that relax you, even if you feel a little distracted while doing it!
