Newly diagnosed at 56

It took a while to ask my doctor for a referral for an autism assessment but it was worth it, having finally being diagnosed as autistic, having adhd and dyspraxia. It's early days yet, but it's reassuring to have my suspicions confirmed. I'm hoping that I don't feel regret for wasted years of not having been diagnosed!

  • Like grief, you will go through different stages, I know I have, did and am still making adjustments, so I can be my authentic self. But I still have to work to keep my lovely flat and its dealing with the aftermath of retail, where I can be most critical of myself and confusion by those social interactions.  Ask yourself, know I now, what am I going to do with this gift...............................
