Hey, I’m 26 years old and was diagnosed with Autism when I was 15. I’m living at home with both my parents and have a bad relationship with my mum. I really want to move out and live on my own as my mental health is getting worse and worse due to my situation at home. I am unable to rent through a ‘normal’ letting agency as I am not capable to work and wouldn’t be able to afford it and I’d need support at least once a week to help me with any bills etc. I contacted a local company who help provide housing and support for vulnerable adults and they said that I’d need a professional to fill out the referral form and refer me. I don’t know what to do because I don’t get any support from any professionals, I only ever see my GP but I don’t know if my GP can refer me and I don’t know how to go about it. I feel completely stuck and was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or has any advise?
