We are conducting a study at Kingston University exploring how autobiographical memory and mental imagery are linked to empathy in autistic and neurotypical individuals.
Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for Autistic Adults aged 20–40 years to take part.
What does participation involve?
· A short consent and screening questionnaire, where you’ll answer questions about your background, medical history, and autistic traits, and provide your email address so that we can let you know whether you’re eligible to continue with the study.
· A 20-30 minute online survey about memory, mental imagery, and empathy
· A 60-90 minute online interview via Microsoft Teams (appointment-based), involving memory and thinking tasks, including verbal and visual assessments. Hence, using a device with a working camera and mic will be essential. This will be recorded for coding purposes and stored securely.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
Your responses will be anonymised and securely stored, following ethical guidelines and GDPR regulations. You have the right to withdraw at any time.
Reimbursement
As a thank you for your time, participants will receive a £30 Amazon voucher after completing the study.
