Clinical Partners - Right to Choose

Be interested to hear anyone's 2025/2026 experience with Clinical Partners for ASD assessment.

I registered June 2025 and my triage has just gone through and I'm on appointment list.

Any information from how you found them to how long you things took once you were on the appointment list Slight smile

Thank you!

  • I've got an update on Clinical Partners. They were great for my ASD assessment, but their ADHD assessment has been messy.

I had very little advice in advance which had a knock-on effect on my interview. The interviewer spoke really quickly and kept interrupting me which made me lose track of the conversation repeatedly. She was on her laptop, but literally with it on her lap (seriously, who does that anymore?), so the screen was moving and shaking as she typed (to the point where I thought I might be getting motion sickness towards the end!). I couldn't adequately express myself as I was being forced to switch from one thing to another very quickly. The questions were really quite vague and when she tried to offer me some sort-of examples, they weren't at all relevant for me - examples from office work or my University Degree which were about 30 years ago. I tried my best but couldn't really find anything relevant.

On top of that, the assessor made some basic mistakes and very obvious contradictions - she didn't have the informant questionnaire but said in the report that she did, she said at the end of the interview that I should have CBT, then said CBT isn't recommended for ASD and in the report said she felt my problems were mainly down to my autism.

I have really struggled emotionally since the interview last week, feeling like I'm not being heard or seen. The interviewer phoned me later in the day and the interruptions continued. How can you assess me if you won't even listen to what I'm saying? It felt like she had already made a decision based on half the information. I ended up using Copilot to help me script my response and map it onto the criteria for assessment, which took up most of the day yesterday, and the fallout from the interview is still affecting me today. I keep needing to summon up the energy to deal with the ongoing situation and it's really tiring me out. I think I will need to make a complaint when this is all over which will take still more of my time and energy.

The difference between my experiences with the ASD assessment could hardly be more stark. They were really understanding, took me through things and explained everything in positive, affirming language. The ADHD assessor has left me feeling patronised, belittled and dismissed.

    Phew. Rant over.
