Searching for legal advice

So I really wasn't sure where to post this, and I'm being as vague as possible whilst still being able to find what I'm looking for-
Me and my partner want to get married. The problem is they currently live in america, and I'm in the uk. We've done all the steps leading up to this, they spent a good 8 months here with me before heading back so as not to overstay their visitor visa. We wanted to ask a lawyer if we had enough evidence of a relationship to go straight into a spousal visa and skip the fiance visa. I'm really not sure where to ask, I wanted a lawyer that works well with autistic people given I am autistic. I've tried looking around on the main website but I couldn't find anything helpful. I did find slater heelis which is apparently partnered with the national autistic society, but I was hoping to get some advice, maybe someone else has been in a similar position and knows better places to look. I'm also considering asking the citizens advice bureau.
Any advice or input would be wonderful!

  • Dear BlueDragon,

Thank you for reaching out to the online community, it is great to have you as part of the community. It sounds like a good idea to get in touch with Citizens Advice as they may have more knowledge on this area.

Just so you're aware community members can't give legal or medical advice but it sounds like you are looking for input on where you can reach out for this advice.

    Wishing you the best,
