Hi all! I'm Shiying Chen, a PhD student at Durham University and a member of the Centre for Neurodiversity and Development. As part of my PhD research project, I am conducting a study exploring autistic adolescents’ lived experiences across different contexts.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for autistic adolescents and young people who:
1) Are aged 13–24
2) Are formally diagnosed or self-identified as autistic
3) Live in the UK
4) Are able to communicate in English
5) Are willing to talk or write about their experiences of masking and being their authentic selves in daily life

What does participation involve?
1) Completing an online pre-interview questionnaire (about 10-15 minutes)
2) Taking part in an online or in-person interview (either one 60-80 minutes session or two 30-40 minutes sessions)
3) An arts-based activity before the interview (optional)

Reimbursement:
Participants who complete whole interview will receive a £10 book voucher as a thank-you for their participants. Participants who attend only part of the interview will receive a £5 book voucher.
