Wow. Young people are getting mean

To me young people/teens were always mean and till today I have anxiety whenever I see them and I fear being bullied by them. They usually pass by not noticing me (thank goodness) or sometimes approach me asking if I have a cigarette (I don't smoke). Now as I'm older they are usually harmless to me, but it was different as I was young. 

There is more and more exposure to the "pop culture" that promotes often Aggression and disrespect to others. Maybe that's why it seems that young people are mean, or those who are- are louder and more visible. But in reality not all young people are mean or aggressive etc. There are young inventors of devices and technologies of producing energy and cleaning the pollution in our environment. So not all young people are mean. But those who are, are getting to the extreme. 

This sentence was actually someone said to me intended to be funny but it’s kind of true.but not all young people are the same.  It’s a lot to do with how things are presented to them and how they then present themselves and what they feel they represent of their influences. It’s just that a lot of the influencers are either bordering on the unpleasant or not real in worldly substance. I agree the pop culture is becoming more and more extreme as companies want to make more money from exploiting them.
