Participants wanted: Self-Reporting Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms in Autistic Adults

Who can participate in this study?
You can take part in this study if:
  1. You are 18 years old or older, AND
  2. A health professional diagnosed you with:
    1. Autism, OR
    2. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), OR
    3. Both autism and OCD; AND
  3. You are not seriously ill right now, and you are not currently receiving inpatient, hospital, or intensive care for your physical or mental health; AND
  4. You speak English and can complete an online survey.
 
What is involved in participation? 
  • Answering a short set of screening questions, which will only take a few minutes. If you meet the study's inclusion criteria, a member of our research team will then email you a link to the survey.
  • Participation in the main survey includes completing a set of questionnaires online, asking about you (e.g., age, gender, etc.), some information about your autism and/or OCD diagnosis, OCD symptoms, your emotional well being, and autistic traits.
  • Your responses will be anonymous, and it is anticipated that the main survey will take 20 to 40 minutes to complete.
  • Upon completion of the main survey, you will given the option to receive compensation of AUD$20 as a small token of appreciation for your time and for sharing your experiences. If you live in Australia, this will be given via bank transfer. If you live outside of Australia, you will be sent an e-gift card or a Wise transfer worth AUD$20.
