Personal Independence Paypents

PIP is budgeted to pay 20% less than DLA, the benefit it replaces as the criteria has changed. Lost eligibility is clearly going to be from the mental health conditions, and given our known difficulty in generating empathy from NTs, you have to wonder if any of us are going to be recieving help from this source.

I just recieved my descision: "I regret to inform you that you are not eligible for PIP..."

  • I'll be filing my appeal as soon as the office opens monday. And I'll win as they have only assessed me on about half the criteria.

But its incredibly unethical, and possibly illegal, for the state to seek to reduce the benefit budget by targeting those groups who have the least ability to self-advocate. I do so hope the DWP fails to correct their position on Mandatory Reconsideration so I can make a test case of the matter in front of the Courts and Tibunuals board.
