GP Failed to record my autism diagnosis 4 months after assessment

Great. Now I found out my GP practice haven’t even recorded my autism diagnosis in my medical notes. The GP practice changed their email address and the referring clinician changed jobs so the emails containing my diagnosis report from the NHS Choices Provider sent four months ago were Never Opened. I have spent all day trying to sort it out. I am getting very frustrated and tired of it . I wondered why I never got a follow up from my GP

I contacted the NHS Choices Provider who has re sent the diagnosis report to the New GP practice email (which covers multiple different surgeries in my area). I also asked them to send a paper copy by Royal Mail to my GP Practice.

I also have requested to speak to the Gp surgery manager because I just find this so unacceptable. It’s made me feel very upset

  • I think I may need to double-check with my GP practice that they've got my diagnosis on file. They definitely should have, but I've never had any follow-up from them. Thankfully, I have the copy of the diagnosis that was sent to me, so if need be I can send that to them and request they add it to my records.
