i posted here a while ago and thanks to everyone's amazing advice and help I finally got my diagnosis of Autism and ADHD, so I firstly wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave me the advice on who to go and see!!

now my slight predicament is where to go from now, im starting to unmask but i could do with some advice on how to manage that and help me unmask and also how to cope with alot of the wonderous things that come along with unmasking especially as i am now very aware im juggling with both ADHD and Autism, tbh idk what im looking for but some advice and support on where to go next would be amazing T-T

thank you everyone :)

Congrats on your diagnosis! That’s exciting!

When it comes to unmasking, my advice is to take it slow. At first, unmask only when you are around people that you trust. By now most of my coworkers know about my Autism, but to begin I only told my supervisor and a few coworkers that I felt would understand it. Reason being, there’s a lot of misconceptions about Autism and if you tell the wrong people you could be subject to bullying or singling out. That’s why it’s a good idea to form a solid base of support before letting the world know that you’re Autistic.

That’s very exciting that you got your diagnosis, thanks for telling us!
