I'm just back from installing the trim that goes on door frames (called architrave) for all the doors in a flat I am renovating for my ex-wife.
The instructions were to install coving but she got the words mixed up so I only had hand tools and sawing all the hardwood trim took a lot of effort.
All done though, notches cut out for hinges, plaster cut off where the plasterers were over enthusiastic and all the odd, narrow corner pieces cut by hand to fit.
