NAS STATS

According to the NAS's latest annual report:

"In 2024-25, our Online Community had 869,000 active users"

I can only assume NAS are basing that on the number of people who have registered to be members of the Online Community, but may not necessarily be active on the forums. I'm guessing that number includes members who post once, never to be seen again, and fail to e-mail NAS requesting their accounts be closed.

869,000 active users is considerably higher than I had imagined.

so the tally is still likely to be a rolling snowball of the other years too? Not strictly reflective of 24-25

I might be wrong about this, but prior to an 'upgrade' in 2024, I'm sure NAS had said accounts belonging to members who had been inactive for 12+ months would be deleted. This has yet to happen. There are two former members in my friends list... One left in 2023 without requesting their account be deactivated, and the other is no longer active because they sadly died.

Therefore, I cannot help but think the NAS stats are misleading, and probably do include members who haven't been active here for a good many years.

Yeah or I guess message for a while but are not long standing members for months / years. I often come on here and refresh and don’t see recently updated posts but then press the previous page and am surprised by how many new threads I have missed
